Fire Extinguishers & Blankets

We supply, install, service and refill a wide range of fire extinguishers and blankets for commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers.

ex-water.pngWater Extinguishers

Water extinguishers are suitable for Class A fires caused by the combustion of solid materials, mainly of organic origin, such as wood, paper, straw, textiles and coal. Such extinguishers are available either as full jet or super spray versions.

ex-foam.pngFoam Extinguishers

Foam extinguishers are ideal where both Class A and Class B fires exist. AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) is particularly suited to Class B fires which are caused by the combination of materials that liquefy such as petrol, oils, fats, paints, tar etc.

Carbon dioxide extinguishers are suitable for Class B risks involving flammable liquids and especially for electrical hazards. C02 extinguishers are harmless to electrical equipment and ideal for modern offices, electronic risks, and fires caused by the combustion of liquids such as oils, fats, solvents etc.

Dry powder fire extinguishers are recommended for mixed fire environments because they cover Class A, Class B and Class C fires. They are especially suited for flammable liquids and fires involving flammable gases such as methane, propane, hydrogen and natural gas.

Wet chemical extinguishers are ideal for Class F fires, involving cooking oils and fats, such as lard, olive oil, sunflower oil, maize oil and butter. It is extremely effective as the wet chemical rapidly knocks the flames out, cools the burning oil and chemically reacts to form a soap-like solution, sealing the surface and preventing re-ignition.

Extinguisher Rental

We can rent extinguishers for short, medium and long term use, so if you're planning a particular event like a music festival, be sure to contact us.

Fire Blankets

Fire blankets are increasingly recognised as an essential fire fighting aid, extensively used in extinguishing fire in domestic, commercial and industrial applications. Product quality and reliability is of paramount importance.

Every fire blanket supplied and installed by us carries the British Standard Kitemark and has been tested and certified to the latest European Standard BSEN 1869:1997.

Extinguisher Stands

Aesthetic reasons can make the wall mounting of fire extinguishers unattractive. Open plan offices and other areas can present problems when installing fire extinguishers. Likewise, in locations where it is not possible to mount a fire extinguisher because of unsuitable walls, a stand may be required. Not only do extinguisher stands look more attractive, they also help to establish a distinctive fire point.

Our stands are available in high impact weather resistant polyethylene or glass reinforced plastic (GRP). They are self-coloured red to BS 04-E-53. If required, we can supply stands in any colour from the BS5252 and RAL colour ranges.

Our range of extinguisher and hose reel cabinets are an ideal solution when fire equipment needs to be located outdoors or mounted on road vehicles. Manufactured in high impact polyethylene or glass reinforced plastic (GRP), they offer practical storage and protection from the environment. They are self coloured red to BS5252 and RAL colour ranges.
